Dr. Lucille W. Ijoy is an educator, motivational
presenter, conference and retreat facilitator
and radio personality associated with WURD
Radio in Philadelphia, PA. She holds three
degrees in education: B.S. from St. Joseph’s
University and Med and Ed.D. from Temple
University.
She is a Family and Marriage Therapist,
a Certified Mediator and the author of several
books including Cultural Diversity
in the Work Force: A Two-Day Training Plan;
Creative Discipline: Skills for Calm, Confident,
Peaceful, Wholesome Parenting; Family Therapy

Ijoy was the first Chief-of-Staff for Philadelphia
City Council and the Executive Director
for the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy.
She is a Relationship and Diversity Training
Specialist, having been the keynote speaker
at seminars and workshops for a wide-range
of intergenerational audiences, including
business, academic, civic and religious
gatherings. Her volunteer work includes
Wissahickon Hospice and the Intergenerational
House of Hope and Friendship. She is a member
of the Delaware Valley Association of Black
Psychologists and a graduate and member
of the Family Institute of Philadelphia.
